The 1st World Congress on Energy Geostructures & FOLIAGE meeting (full one-day event) is organized by the International Society for Energy Geostructures (ISEG) and will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on 3 September 2026.
Call for papers is open!
The call for papers for the 1st World Congress on Energy Geostructures is now officially open.
We invite contributions from researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals working in the field of energy geostructures and related disciplines.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Energy geostructures (piles, walls, tunnels, slabs, etc.)
- Coupled thermo-mechanical behavior
- Design methods and standards
- Experimental and numerical modelling
- Field applications and case studies
- Monitoring and long-term performance
- Sustainability and energy efficiency in geotechnics
Paper Submission Guidelines
- Papers will be peer-reviewed and conference proceedings will be indexed, open-access and published by Springer.
- Each paper needs the registration of at least one author.
- Papers should be 6 pages long.
- Authors should submit the paper using the paper template.
- The papers should be sent to secretary@energygeostructures.org
- Upon acceptance of the papers, the corresponding author will be asked to sign a Consent to Publish form which will allow its inclusion in the Proceedings under the specified registration conditions.
- The best paper will receive the Best Paper Award. To be eligible, at least one author must register and present the paper at the conference.

- Review results notification: 30 June 2026
- Revised paper submission: 7 July 2026
- Final acceptance notification: 14 July 2026
- Registration opens: 30 June 2026
